Marin Voice: Cost of Housing in our County has Become Obscene
I have met a number of Marin residents facing homelessness. One works full-time while also caring for her developmentally disabled son. Another pays more in rent than her entire monthly income, watching her savings shrink monthly. These residents are in their 70s. They are scared, angry and feel betrayed by their community. They do not match the stereotypes of the homeless.

Save Our City, an advocacy group, filed suit in May 2023 to void the Marin County Board of Supervisorsā 3-2 decision in March 2023 to approve the issuance of up to $40 million in tax-exempt revenue bonds for use in underwriting the planned building at 825 Drake Ave.

Traffic is a plague common to all prosperous suburbs. Weāre in fantasyland if we believe that congestion on Highway 101 and Marinās east-west boulevards will ever evaporate.”
