Bank of Marin to Showcase a Baker’s Dozen of Mill Valley Artists as Part of Marin Open Studios – April 17-May 31, May 2nd Reception
The featured artists include a number of renowned locals: Barry Toranto, Melissa Pharm, Tom Zizzo, Doug Herr, Linda Wegmann, Irene Belknap, Meili Zhao Buinisma, Victoria Mimiaga, Tina Fossella, Nicholas Coley, Nance Miller, Liana Steinmetz and Tom Doyle.

For her current exhibit, “Mill Valley,” Barrengos “celebrates a town where you can stumble out the front door, head off in any direction, and find beauty. The prints on view are Platinum / Palladium prints. This process was invented in the early 19th century and was the preferred method of printing by many of the early legends of photography such as Alfred Stieglitz, Paul Strand and many others. The Platinum / Palladium print is revered for its long tonal range and it’s archival quality.

Aside from the First Tuesday Artwalk, the Chamber’s office is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 12-4pm.

Early next year, he will move his namesake gallery across the Golden Gate Bridge to Mill Valley taking over the spaces on Throckmorton that were previously occupied by Pollen + Wool and Christopher Salon.
