The Mill Valley-based honorees for the SFGate’s Best of Bay Area included finalist B12 Love in downtown Mill Valley, Edward Jones’ Financial Advisor: Mark J Lavan, multiple locations of Compass real estate, Fernwood Funeral Home In Tam Junction was named as a finalist among the ‘best funeral homes in the Bay Area, and Richard Pon, CPA whose coverage area includes San Francisco and Northern California.
The least surprising honoree was the legendary Sweetwater Music Hall, which hosts an eclectic mix of concerts in Mill Valley, appealing to all-aged fans of many music genres. If you want to take in live music in the Bay Area with kids, Sweetwater Music Hall hosts events like The Rock and Roll Playhouse with special versions of classic songs made for children. From music legends like Bob Weir, Carlos Santana and John Lee Hooker to up-and-coming singer-songwriters and tributes to popular artists like Jimi Hendrix, the Grateful Dead and Pearl Jam, there’s something for everyone at this small North Bay live music venue.
These achievements come on the heels of a 2023 awards season that saw a bevy of Mill Valley businesses honored for their work, from Mill Valley’s shops, restaurants, galleries, arts organizations, service businesses and much, much more. Marin Magazine unveiled its countywide honorees at the Marin Plaza in Sausalito and Mill Valley was once again wildly successful in Marin Magazine’s 2023 Best of County issue.
At least 24 Mill Valley businesses were selected as 2023 winners and more than 50 Mill Valley businesses, business owners and events recognized in the top five as readers pics, Marin Magazine invited honorees and guests to come together and celebrate in person.
