The Throckmorton Theatre, arguably home to one of the most diverse landscapes of arts & culture in Mill Valley, is at it again.

Throckmorton’s After-School Productions is set to showcase “Seussical Jr. the Musical,” which “weaves a story of friendship, loyalty, and love. Despite all odds, Horton and Gertrude band together to save the Whos, free Horton, and restore peace and unity to the Jungle of Nool. Seussical JR shows us the power of being unique, and the importance of fighting for your belief.”

The first session is for children 7-10 years old and is set for Sat. Feb. 11 and Sunday Feb. 12 at 12pm. The second session, for kids 11-14 years old, is set for Friday, Feb. 10 and Sunday, Feb. 12 at 3pm.

Admission is $10.

Less than a week later, Throckmorton comes back with “Foolish Doom,” which sees the great wizard Burnhart and his loyal creature, Pippa, coming to earth with a lofty ambition to save the world! This is the story of how they experience our world for the first time, from the depths of the jungle to the heart of New York City. With a fantastical mix of mask theater, music and puppetry, it will enthrall both children and adults alike.”

The performances are set for Friday, 2/17 at 7:30pm; Saturday, 2/18 at 7:30pm; and Sunday, 2/19 at 3pm. The shows feature Peter Sweet & Leonie Baker, along with director: Matteo Destro. Admission is $25 for general admission and $16 for children.
