The Mill Valley Children’s Garden is a 22,000 sq. ft. organic garden, orchard and outdoor classroom, located at the Edna Maguire Elementary School.
Started in 1990, the garden teaches TK-5th students about where food comes from and the ecosystems we all depend on. The curriculum emphasizes grade-appropriate math, science, art, and writing standards, while also teaching personal and social responsibility.

**I am hoping to get back to Felecia Gaston on the availability of tickets for non-profits in Marin City for the Music Festival.
**Also, the City is co-hosting a BBC film documentary event at Tam High student center on April 30th. The flyer is attached in case you can share or add to the calendar. https://www.cityofmillvalley.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1332
One of the many gems of Mill Valley turns 25 years old this year, and families and volunteers are throwing one heck of a party to celebrate.
The Mill Valley Children’s Garden, a local gem that officially opened in 1991 after teachers staved off a proposal to pave over open space on Edna Maguire Elementary School‘s campus, is the centerpiece of the annual Garden Faire on April 30, 12-4pm.
The garden is a nearly half-acre “outdoor classroom laboratory” for hundreds of students.
