The Resurrenctionist.

Prison Break, the Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated Fox TV drama created by Paul Scheuring, came on the heels of Lost and 24 and drew widespread acclaim in the early years of its five seasons. It spawned a video game, a spinoff, webisodes and a novel.

On Thursday, Feb. 16 at a free, in person event at 1pm at the venerable Outdoor Art Club, Scheuring is set to read from, and discuss the writing of, his latest book, The Resurrectionist. Sheuring’s historical thriller is set in 1820, when London’s physicians were so desperate to understand human anatomy that they didn’t much care where the bodies they dissected came from. Job Mowatt, a professional body snatcher and grave robber – a “resurrectionist” – uses his ill-gotten wages to protect his daughter in London’s worst slum, until a lucrative but dangerous job puts everything he loves at risk.
