Blessing of the Animals on 10/2 and Children’s Dollhouse Tea 11/6.

Fido? Yup. Felines? Definitely. Larry the Lizard? Alright then. Gila Monster? Yeah, maybe hold off on that.

On Sunday, Oct. 2 at 11:30am, Mt. Tamalpais United Methodist Church hosts its annual Blessing of the Animals, an event in the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi, the saint of animals and the environment. “All of God’s creatures have earned our blessing and praise,” says Pastor Luke Ham. “This is one of the great traditions of Christianity. Bring your pets of all kinds (properly restrained or contained, of course) for a loving blessing.”

Regular worship services are held at 10:30am and all are welcome to join us. Sunday School and Nursery care available. Call 415-388-4456 or email for more info.

The church is also hosting Second Sunday Supper Services starting 10/9 in Fellowship Hall, with additional Second Sunday dates through May 14, 2023. These services provide an opportunity for families and people of all ages to join together for a meal and worship. They meet at 5:30, enjoy a meal, then worship together through song, story, art and prayer. This service is perfect for those who are unable to join the church on Sunday mornings, those who are looking for a service that’s “outside the box” or those just looking for more opportunities to connect with others and with God. The service will end by 7pm. RSVP for dates you can attend.

Lastly, there’s a Children’s Dollhouse Tea on Sunday, November 6th, 3-5pm. This event is for children ages 4 and up and their grown ups. Enjoy a special dollhouse display, kids will learn some techniques to turn a cardboard box into their very own dollhouse, and all will enjoy tea and special treats at beautifully set tables. Dressing up is encouraged. Cost is $25 per person. Buy tix here. Proceeds will go to benefit the Marin Foster Care Association.
