Announcing an opportunity to show our love and support for our music family in Los Angeles:
The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have left so many in the music community shattered—musicians, their families, and the people behind the scenes who bring music to life have lost homes, belongings, and so much more.
To lend a hand during this difficult time, Famous4 is teaming up with Sweetwater Music Hall to host a clothing, musical instrument and gear drive the weekend of February 7th, 8th, and 9th.
Here’s how it will work:
•From 11am to 5pm, there will be a truck parked outside my store at 31 Sunnyside Ave to collect donations.
•At 6:00 PM, the truck will move to Sweetwater Music Hall, so you can drop off items during the evening while catching the show, having dinner in town, or if the evening drop off works better for you.
Speaking of shows, it’s going to be an amazing weekend at Sweetwater. Petty Theft will be rocking the stage on Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday, afternoon Swifty – The Taylor Swift Tribute Band has a day-time show, swing by the store and drop off your donations after the show. Then in the evening Leo Kottke will be playing. The truck will be at the Sweetwater in the evening for you to drop off your donations.
What can you donate?
• Clothing: Clean out your closets! Anything rock-and-roll-inspired or otherwise is appreciated.
• Musical instruments & gear: From musical instruments to pro-level gear—every bit helps.
I’ve seen firsthand how much this community can accomplish when we come together. A few years back, during the North Bay fires, we raised $600,000 for families in need—and I know we can do it again.
So, let’s make a difference. Whether it’s clothing, gear, cash donations, or even just spreading the word, every bit counts. Thank you for being the heart of this community. I hope to see you at the store or Sweetwater during the drive.
Let’s keep the good vibes going and help those who need it most.
With love,
Larry “The Hat”
