They walk along busy San Francisco streets. In Chinatown plazas. Across the paths of Muni buses. One was found dozing in a laundromat. Many people simply wonder where they all came from in the first place. Scientists found that the DNA of the first arrivals did not match that of coyotes to the south. Instead, it matched the DNA of coyotes found to the north, beyond the strait and bay that separate the city from Marin County. āDid they walk over the Golden Gate Bridge?ā asked Christine Wilkinson, a carnivore ecologist at the University of California, Santa Cruz. āThatās my top theory.ā

We assume this is satire, because the petition language is full of jokes and makes no real substantive arguments. āNoe Valley might be vibrant, but it deserves more than the constraints of high-density urban living,āĀ the petition says. āBy joining Marin, we reclaim our right to a peaceful, suburban life ā where parking spots are a given, and the existential crises over every artisanal loaf of bread become a relic of the past.” The petition also says that by being annexed into Marin County, Noe Valley can āEmbrace a vision where Noe Valley stands as a beacon of renewal ā where innovative programs like Marinās renowned āGolden Retriever Ownership Programā (yes, really) illustrate a commitment to quality and community joy.ā

The first is Holy Week in April including our Easter worship service and children’s egg hunt: Palm Sunday Worship – Sunday, April 13th, 10:30am. Celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem with palms, praise, and joyful worship. Maundy Thursday Service – Thursday, April 17th, 6:30pm. A reflective evening of scripture, meditation, and Holy Communion as we remember Jesus’ last supper. Good Friday – Friday, April 18th, 9am-4pm. The sanctuary will be open for self-guided prayer. Come anytime for quiet reflection and spiritual renewal.

Tam Church are invited to engage with Mayor Stephen Burke as he shares City Council’s visions and plans for the city in the years ahead. This event takes place at noon in the church sanctuary. Mayor Burke will highlight the city’s next steps, following the passage of the Measure L sales tax, for infrastructure maintenance and enhancements, fiscal sustainability, and emergency preparedness. He will also address land use and affordable housing challenges, business and cultural vitality initiatives, the critical importance of public/private partnerships, community engagement, and Mill Valley’s ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. A delicious pizza lunch will be provided prior to the meet and greet ā suggested donation for lunch but all invited to dine regardless of ability to pay.

Arts & Recreation are steeped into the fabric of Mill Valley, and this week, the City Council unanimously made a welcoming stride toward giving more Southern Marin residents, specifically our long-neglected, immediate neighbors just over the smallest of hills in Marin City. The council agreed to support, in partnership, aĀ fee waiver policy that includes specifically includes a pair of voter precincts in Marin City ā 31228 and 31229. The approved Fee Waiver Policy would include staffing fees, deposits, permits fees, facility rental fees and more. Mill Valley Arts & Recreation staff would be able to approve a fee waiver or reduction of up to $2,000, with requests for fee waivers over $2,000 will be sent to the Parks & Recreation Commission for consideration

“Babies are everywhere in Mill Valley. I imagine in my previous work-life schedule I didnāt see them all. Or perhaps there are just more of them? Either way, babies can be seen in carriages pushed by either moms, dads or nannies. The problem is they are pushed in the streets. Sidewalks are not always an option because theyāre often blocked and/or difficult to push a carriage on. I missed all the baby action when I worked. Arriving home well past baby bedtimes made certain carriage pushing was not on my radar. So, if you want to see some Mill Valley babies, get out during the day ā just be careful driving!”
