The central thoroughfare at Strawberry Village will be transformed into a pet paradise on Saturday, Oct. 24 for Woodlands Pet Food & Treats’ annual Pet Parade and Costume Contest, this year built around a “DOGtoberfest” theme.

In what has become one of the 94941’s landmark  events, dozens of pets and their human sidekicks will strut their stuff in costume at 5pm. The event kicks off at 3pm with an array of activities, including trick-or-treating for kids, a pet sketch artist and pet photographer, a pet psychic, pet CPR demos and loads of pet prize bags.

Costume contest participants are encouraged to register in advance at Woodlands Pet Food & Treats. Registration is $10 now through Friday 10/23, or $15 on the day, with 100 percent of the registration fee going to Hopalong & Second Chance Rescue.
