Like all live music arts organizations, the nonprofit Mill Valley Philharmonic is taking measured steps towards what a return to normalcy certainly might look like, striking a balance between the 15 free virtual programs its created over the past year and its desire to perform in-person concerts when it is safe to do so.

To that end, the longtime Mill Valley institution, led by Artistic Director Dana Sadava, has launched a GoFundMe campaignso we can emerge stronger than ever as we celebrate a most unusual 21st season and look forward to a bright future filled with music.” In doing, MVP is dangling an amusing lure: “All supporters who donate $50 or more to our spring campaign,  ‘Toast to the Future,’ will be rewarded with a special thank you: a chance to win a coveted retro Smeg toaster! We are grateful for any contribution, large or small, you can offer. All donors will be acknowledged in MVP’s future concert programs unless otherwise requested.”

Mill Valley Philharmonic’s free, virtual programs in recent months have included “Everything you need to know about Mozart in 45 minutes,” Celebrating Black Composers” and Leonard Bernstein and West Side Story,” among many others. MORE INFO.
