Winterfest, the 94941’s annual holiday celebration, returns in December with TWICE THE FUN!

In years past, we’ve held our festive holiday celebration on the downtown plaza – and we’re doing that again on Dec. 3rd, 5-6pm with some performances, a Tree Lighting and remarks from Mayor Urban Carmel.

In the interests of spreading more joy than ever – and with the grateful support of our partners at Mill Valley Recreations’ Mill Valley Community Center, we’re expanding the event across two dates.

On the Downtown Plaza on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 5-6pm, we’ll have yet another fantastic lineup of singers, dancers and musicians to perform from approximately 5-6pm.

Santa also plans to be on the Plaza within the 5-6pm hour – we will update families, meeting children and families, listening to present requests and taking photos with them.

Two weeks later, on Sunday, Dec. 17th from 12-4pm at the Community Center, we’ll have another lineup of great performances – including the one and only Millbillies – and a bunch of great children’s games and activities like the huge slide, a jumpy house, cornhole and an array of additional activities.

The afternoon of Dec. 3rd will be filled with activities and the opportunity to eat, drink and shop at venues all over downtown – come ready to support your favorite shops and eateries and enjoy the festivities of the holiday season.

This landmark event is produced by Organized Chaos Events.

At the conclusion of the event on Dec. 17th at 6pm, the Chamber and Mill Valley Recreation are continuing the holiday joy with a screening, in the Cascade Room of the delightful Smallfoot, an animated tale of Smallfoot that turns the Bigfoot legend upside down when a bright young Yeti finds something he thought didn’t exist—a human. News of this “smallfoot” throws the simple Yeti community into an uproar over what else might be out there in the big world beyond their snowy village, in an all new story about friendship, courage and the joy of discovery. The film is one-hour and 36 minutes.
