As it gets ready to cap off a busy month celebrating Washington State Wine Month, Chris and Lindsey Wanner’s West Coast Wine • Cheese shop at 31 Sunnyside Ave. in downtown Mill Valley heads into September with an equally lively calendar.

The shop kicks off Sept. 7 by hosting the pre-party VIP pouring at Seager Gray Gallery for the Mill Valley Library Foundation’s Beyond the Book Bash. On Wednesday, Sept. 11, the Wanners welcomesMill Valley resident and shop favorite Jaclyn Strife as a guest bartender from 5-8pm, allowing Strife “to fulfill a dream of working behind the stick! We’ll have some special bottles open and available for glass purchases, as well as specials for wines to-go,” says Chris Wanner.

In October, West Coast Wine • Cheese hosts a wine tasting from Failla Winery on Wednesday, Oct. 2 with Failla national sales rep Sarah Cleveland, followed on Oct. 17 by the five-year anniversary party for their San Francisco shop with Caraccioli Cellars, featuring owner Scott Caraccioli, who Wanner calls “the best sparkling wine producer in the US. We’ll be pouring Caraccioli Brut and Brut Rosé out of Magnums for our big celebration!”

On Oct. 18, Wanner will be serving up some of his favorite wines of the season, along with a few locally sourced beers, at the next edition of Tiny Talks at Scout Hall on 10/18 (more details TBA). And on Nov. 20, Mill Valley native and Tam High grad Ross Cobb, the featured winemaker at the after-party for the 2019 Wine, Beer & Gourmet Food Tasting, returns to West Coast Wine • Cheese to pour some of his latest and greatest from the Cobb Wines portfolio.

The 411: West Coast Wine • Cheese shop at 31 Sunnyside Ave. hosts a number of events throughout the fall. MORE INFO.
