Lori Sperling, the founder and creator of the Still Collective, a San Anselmo-based staging and design company that offers a “soulful nod to California casual living,” is opening a retail shop this week within the iconic Mill Valley Lumber Yard.

Sperling and her team are having their grand opening at the Mill Valley Lumber Yard this Thursday, June 20th at 4pm.

Still has a curated collection of soulful goods, rich textures, and earthy shades (soulful, California cool designs with a nod to slow living).

Originally from East Los Angeles, Lori moved to the Bay Area after getting engaged. She has lived and been a part of the Marin community for 25 years.

Lori Sperling

Sperling says she is outnumbered in her San Anselmo home 5-1…one hubby, 3 boys and one labradoodle, Champ. With a passion for everything design, Sperling decided, after 17 years of being a “mommager” to pursue her creative voice. What started out as a two woman team (with lots of unpaid help from the hubbies) organically grew into the amazing crew it is today.

Sperling gravitates towards textured, earthy tones and warm, natural elements. She’s always on the hunt for those impactful, unique, found items, pairing old with new to create cozy and interesting spaces! Her inspiration comes from travel along with a deep appreciation for different cultures, artists, makers and entrepreneurs.

She is especially driven by supporting other female entrepreneurs in the community, which is part of the vision behind using the word “collective” in the company name.

Fun facts: Lori was a hedge fund trader in LA and SF prior to becoming a “mommager” and entrepreneur. She loves lake life, wake surfing and car dancing.
