City Council Discusses After Action Report on December 27, 2024 Flooding
“We were caught off guard by the three inches of rain in three hours, a really significant water main break, and our pump station not having the right amperage in a storm like this,” Cusimano said. “That is really unprecedented, but it caught us off guard… and we fell short on engagement and communication.” He emphasized that while staff worked hard during the event, the City must improve its emergency response and communication strategies moving forward.

Ultimately the marks and colors come to agreement. The picture is complete. From the silence I see the work. As I look into the nameless field newly painted, the work whispers a name.”

According to food reporter Elena Kadvany, after nearly two decades in the Dogpatch neighborhood, beloved San Francisco restaurant Piccino is expanding to two new locations – first in the Presidio and, likely in Mill Valley in early 2026, set at 242 Redwood Highway Frontage Rd., the space near Seaplane Adventures facility along the waterfront.

Capitalism is thriving because morality and common decency is absent from the policies imposed by the capitalist class. The way I see it, high demand (lots of people) and low supply (not enough available housing) will always create fierce competition and drive up the cost of rent and mortgage payments. When adequate housing is guaranteed, the rental market will crumble. People will no longer sign a contract in which half or a third of their income goes to rent because they will no longer have the fear of being homeless.

“We are supportive of a measure to go forward,” Marin County Supervisor Stephanie Moulton-Peters, a member of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, said at its special meeting on Monday. “I have always supported a 10-year measure, just trying to get closer to the problem at hand, but I’m sympathetic to other organizations that may need capital projects to get the votes they need to pass.”

Improvement in government requires, “the clear definition of the results a policy is expected to produce, and the ruthless examination of results against these expectations. This, in turn, demands that we spell out in considerable detail what results are expected rather than content ourselves with promises and manifestos.” Overcoming disenchantment requires achieving results.
