For their “Our World…Our Future” concert on May 21 at the Strawberry Recreation Center, the Singers Marin choruses are leaning on “Carnival of the Animals,” a “humorous musical suite” of fourteen movements that the French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns created on the heels a disastrous concert tour of Germany. The result, “Carnival!,” is a “choral menagerie,” will be performed along with a variety of songs that celebrate and honor this special place we call our home,” says Singers Marin Artistic Director Jan Pedersen Schiff.
The 411: The “Our World…Our Future” concert is on May 21 at 4pm at the Strawberry Recreation Center, 118 East Strawberry Drive. Tix $5-$15. The concert will feature each of the ensembles singing separately and together. MORE INFO & TIX.
