Redwood Credit Union has hired Bank of the West veteran Wesley Purvis as manager of its new Mill Valley branch, which opened last month in the Alto Plaza shopping center containing Whole Foods Market and Rite Aid, the nonprofit financial cooperative’s first branch in southern Marin and third in Marin County. Purvis oversees the branch’s member service, staff management, and daily branch operations, as well as local community and business development efforts.

Purvis previously held numerous positions at Bank of the West in Northern California, including financial services representative, financial services officer, branch sales manager, and most recently as vice president and branch manager of the bank’s Mill Valley location, also located in the Alto Plaza center.

“Wesley’s financial knowledge and experience as well as his strong commitment to service and building relationships are a great fit for RCU,” said Andy Ramos, RCU’s senior vice president of member experience. “We’re thrilled to welcome him as manager of our newest branch in Marin.”

Located at 695 E. Blithedale Avenue in the Alto Plaza Shopping Center, RCU’s new Mill Valley branch is designed to better accommodate the credit union’s growing membership in Marin County. It features three 24-hour access ATMs; a technology bar for members to access online banking and information; knowledgeable branch staff to assist with accounts, loans, and financial wellness; and a children’s activity area. The branch is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Redwood Credit Union has two additional Marin County branches in Novato and San Rafael, and a total of 17 branches throughout the North Bay.
