The new Little Free Library at the Mill Valley Chamber at 85 Throckmorton Avenue.

Fresh off last month’s Community Celebration for its 120th anniversary, the Outdoor Art Club, a Mill Valley treasure founded in 1902 by 35 women, has provided the community with the latest symbol of its generosity.

The organization has donated to the Mill Valley Chamber – located at 85 Throckmorton Ave. adjacent to the Depot a Little Free Library, the latest addition to the nationwide network of Little Free Libraries, part of a nonprofit organization that promotes neighborhood book exchanges, usually in the form of a public bookcase. More than 150,000 public book exchanges are registered with the organization and branded as Little Free Libraries.

There are well over a dozen Little Free Libraries in the 94941.

Chamber staff immediately filled the new Little Free Library with an array of books, including those from Zadie Smith and Isabel Allende.

Come take some – and add some!
