Citing a ‘personal crisis’ for store owner Julie Stanton, popular arts and crafts store sends note to regular customers that they’re closing for good in less than a month.
Once Around, one of the most beloved businesses in town, “is closing for good on August 1,” according to an email note the store sent to its loyal customers over the weekend. “Julie, the owner, is making her way through a personal crisis and she can no longer maintain this beautiful place,” the note continued.

The rest of the note is below. We’ll update you with additional info as it becomes available.

“If you have a gift certificate or a store credit of any kind (or know someone who does), PLEASE come in to redeem it before August 1. We really don’t want to leave anyone hanging. A reminder that store credits and gift certificates are not redeemable for cash – only store merchandise.
Everything in the store will be 20% off from July 1 – August 1. There will be no further discounts, however, or close-out sales.
Also, please honor our standard return policy during this time. All returns must be accompanied by a receipt and they must fall within the 30-day time restriction.

To say we are sad is a deep understatement. We are devastated that it has come to this and we will miss you all TREMENDOUSLY.
We will never be able to thank you enough for all of your love, devotion, support, enthusiasm
– your inspiration.
For everything, really.
xo
p.s. Once Around will be closed (as previously planned) on Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.”
