From Wendy Von Vries
With heavy hearts and profound love, we share the passing of our beloved mother, Annabella Margarita Eriksson, who peacefully left us on December 30th, 2024.
Annabella was not just a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, cousin and friend–she was a guiding light whose warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit touched everyone she encountered. Born on October 22nd, 1946, Annabella was the embodiment of love, strength, and dedication. She devoted her life to those she loved and cared for. As an NP at the former Marin General Hospital for many years, she offered her healing touch to countless lives.
Her nurturing spirit extended to the family business, Mill Valley Flowers, where her heart and care helped turn flowers into symbols of love, joy, and celebration for generations. Through her work, she taught us all the importance of beauty, compassion, and connection.
In recent years, Annabella faced the challenges of mixed vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s, diseases that slowly took pieces of her away in ways we never anticipated.
Yet, even as these conditions affected her body and mind, they never touched her remarkable spirit. She remained strong, filled with an unwavering love for life, and her heart always shone through, even in the quietest moments. We will forever cherish the memories of her–those precious times when she would laugh, share wisdom, or offer a quiet moment of recognition.
Annabella was generous, compassionate, and always tender, bringing joy and comfort to everyone around her. Now, Annabella is reunited with the love of her life, Lars Eriksson. Together, they rest peacefully at Fernwood Cemetery, overlooking the beauty of Mount Tamalpais, a place that will forever reflect the peace and love they both shared.
Annabella’s legacy continues to shine brightly through her son, Michael; daughter, Wendy; son-in-law, Jari; grandchildren; nieces; nephews; siblings; and a close-knit circle of dear friends, including Natascha, Georgina, Lucia, Devon, Pat, and her many loving neighbors in Sycamore along with her devoted team at Mill Valley Flowers, who stood by her with unwavering support during her most challenging moments, will always hold a special place in our hearts.
A celebration of Annabella’s life will be held this summer. In the meantime, a special plot at Fernwood Cemetery has been dedicated to her and Dad’s ashes, where they will rest together.
We invite all who loved her to visit once the stone is completed, and in her memory, she requested that you continue to bring beauty and love into your lives by filling your homes and special occasions with flowers. Mill Valley Flowers, the small shop she cherished, will continue to carry on her legacy through her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and her team of devoted designers, who have been with us for over a decade.
Though we grieve her physical absence, we find comfort in the love she shared with us, the lessons she taught, and the beautiful way she lived. Rest peacefully, Mom. You were the heart of our family, and that love will live on in all of us, forever.
