Not only does Makers Market showcase the products of independent creators, artists and makers, but it regularly spreads its wings beyond its four walls, hosting outdoor markets and craft fairs within the Lumber Yard. The typical event hosts up to 20 artists, featuring live music and drinks.
The MVLY location will host at least six outdoor markets a year, Ekman says, and they’re doing so once again on Saturday, Sept. 8 (10am-5pm), with an expansive event featuring more than a dozen vendors that span mediums like pottery and jewelry to leather goods, soaps and lotions and candles (see full list below).
Bay Area musician Ronnie Mills will perform at the event. Mills has been called a rising star whose “music is captivating and very uplifting,” with “song selections that are contemporary and soulful.”
“We’re really excited to continue to connect with this community,” Ekman says.
The 411: Makers Market, which is open in the Mill Valley Lumber Yard at 129 Miller Ave., hosts an outdoor market featuring an array of artists and makers on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10am-5pm. MORE INFO. And here’s the full story on Suzy Ekman and Makers Market.
