While AP Luxe Salon, Le Marais Bakery and Compass Real Estate are set to open there in the coming months, Faye Jamali has the site to herself. The Scott Valley resident, who spent nearly 20 years as an anesthesiologist, mostly for the Permanente Group in San Francisco, has opened Belle Marin Aesthetic Medicine, an innovative new facility that offers an array of non-invasive aesthetic procedures, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments and CoolSculpting.
“As I thought about my next chapter, I wanted to find a way to meld my artistic eye and my precision with the needle as an anesthesiologist,” says Jamali, who got her degree in physiology at UC Berkeley before graduating from UC Davis’ School of Medicine in 1993. “So over the past few years, I’ve trained in aesthetic medicine. I’m thrilled to be able to help people look and feel their absolute best at every stage of life.”
She says she’ll do so with a personal touch not available elsewhere at larger aesthetic practices.
“i’ll spend 45 minutes with a patient, and I perform all the procedures here,” says Jamali, who also speaks multiple languages, including Farsi and French. “This is all about delivering personalized care in a beautiful setting.”
Jamali says she chose the 250 East Blithedale space specifically because it wasn’t a medical building.
“I wanted to create a warm and welcoming environment that was unlike a cold, dry medical office,” she says. “With the other new businesses opening here, I’m excited to make this into a neighborhood place.”
Jamali says she designed her new space herself to match her style—“minimalism with a touch of luxury”. She says her goal is to deliver superb results without complicated recovery times and cumbersome surgical risks.
“It’s been such an amazing journey,” Jamali says.”I really feel excited about medicine again.”
