On the heels of a stalwart campaign to bring beautiful flower baskets to downtown Mill Valley, a cadre of amazing people, with support from the City of Mill Valley, have unveiled flower baskets, hanging in seven different locations in our downtown area. (See photos above).
“This was a great team effort and we are personally thrilled with the results,” says Mill Valley City Councilmember Caroline Joachim, one of the leaders of this effort. “Flower baskets arrived and are hanging in seven different locations in our downtown area. (Attaching some photos.) This was a great team effort and I am personally thrilled with the results.”
The City purchased the baskets from the amazing Green Jeans and and the equally amazing Susie Turner of Green Door Design, (along with a college student, Mia) are handling the watering.
“Huge thank you goes out to Mill Valley Chamber for its donation of $3k to this project which covers the costs of the baskets, hardware and water sprayer,” Joachim says. “We sincerely appreciate your support and faith that the Beautification Brigade could get it done!”

How wonderful 👏🏻 Thank you to everyone who made this happen! It really adds to the village feel and charm. FYI Downtown San Anselmo installed the same kind of flower baskets in 2019, and they have a dedicated team maintaining their beauty since then. They even have an Instagram @saflowerbaskets!
