From Watershed, Flourcraft Bakery, Millie’s Crepe et Creme and Eddy Bar & Bottle to Bloomingayles Michael Heacock Architects and Makers Market, the Mill Valley Lumber Yard is chock full of homegrown business concepts that have flourished – so much so that some incredibly successful entrepreneurs have followed suit and opened locations there. Think TantrumAviator NationMakers Market and Mad Dogs & Englishmen, to name a few.

Fideaux, the pet heaven that Erin Morris has built over decades in St. Helena and Healdsburg, continued to thrive at MVLY.

With Halloween approaching, MVLY and Fideaux are collaborating on a first annual Dog Costume Contest on Oct. 29th at 11am.

Dog owner? Dress up your pooch in your most creative and outrageous costume. The first 100 dogs to show up will be eligible to enter. Once you’ve registered, you will walk your dog around (on leash) the Mill Valley Lumber Yard grounds.

The top 10 best dressed dogs will be selected to participate in the final voting selection and will receive awards, including exclusive gifts from Fideaux!

Eligible award categories include: Best DIY Costume, Best Owner + Pup Combo Costume, Funniest Costume, Most Clever Costume… and more.

Non-dog owner? We need you, too! Come take in the spectacle of adorable pups in costumes, vote on your favorites, and see who becomes the #1 best costumed dog in Mill Valley.
