From Watershed and Flourcraft Bakery to the ever-creative Once Around and Bloomingayles and much more, the Mill Valley Lumber Yard is chock full of homegrown business concepts that have flourished – so much so that some incredibly successful entrepreneurs have followed suit and opened locations there. Think Aviator NationMakers Market and Mad Dogs & Englishmen, to name a few.

Fideaux, the pet heaven that Erin Morris has built over more than two decades, with 25 years in St. Helena and another 17 years in Healdsburg, is among the relatively newbies. In 2021, Morris opened the third location of her shop dedicated to the coolest dog and cat products out there.

Starting Dec. 1, Fideaux has a fun dog advent calendar that is filled with holiday squeaky toys. “Every day, we will post a secret word in our Instagram story and the first person to come into the shop and tell us the word gets to open the box for the day and keep the toy.  Just a fun little holiday game!  Our instagram in @fideauxshops.

The game is part of a four-day, Mill Valley Lumber Yard-wide first annual Holiday Faire that spans all of the tenants at MVLY.

The event, which will feature live music, warm drinks, an array of holiday shopping opportunities, visits with Santa and his elf, various themed workshops hosted by MVLY retail and food tenants, roasted chestnuts by the Southern Marin Fire District and much more.
