Dipsea Race Foundation

Scenes from the 2023 Dipsea Race Foundation.

As has often been the case prior to the Annual Dipsea Race on June 9th, the Dipsea Race Foundation focused its efforts on the future, both of the Dipsea Race race and the educational future of Marin students.

Each year, the Dipsea Foundation awards $5,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have participated in or volunteered with the Dipsea race.

In 2023, Tamalpais High grad Zebah Mamoon was one of the six Dipsea Race Foundation scholarship winners who were honored.

This year’s Hall of Fame Scholarship Ceremony Dinner is set for Friday, June 7th Friday at the Spinnaker Restaurant in Sausalito.

The event kicks off with a no-host cocktail reception, open to all, from 6-7pm, and a 7pm dinner (by reservation only), along with an auction.

Reserve seats here.

The event will also feature the 2024 Hall of Fame Induction of Norman Pease – 40 Consecutive Dipsea Races, and a celebration of Edda Stickle, Dipsea Race CFO and Co-Founder Dipsea Kidz Program.

The Dipsea Foundation awards scholarship of $5,000 to college bound high school seniors who have participated in or volunteered for the Dipsea race. Awards are based on financial need, an essay, community service, leadership, athletic performance, and academics.

The Dipsea Race Foundation awards Dipsea Race participants – as runners or volunteers – because we believe that the self-discipline required to train for a difficult cross country-race and the sense of community service demonstrated by volunteering are virtues that can be transferred to other aspects of life.

As usual, the Dipsea Race Foundation continues its efforts to improve the infrastructure around the Dipsea Race.
