From the folks at the Mill Valley Depot Bookstore:

“Do you love to read and to draw? If so, enter your design into the Depot Bookstore’s Bookmark Competition! The competition will be accepting entries until May 31 and the bookstore will be selecting winners from all age groups (preschool, elementary, middle school and high school).

The competition’s theme is “Roar for Reading!” Have your artwork include a lion or an animal that roars! For example, you could draw a book with a roaring animal or a picture of yourself reading about lions.

Winners will have their artwork printed onto bookmarks that the Depot Bookstore will hand out to customers! If you are interested in participating, ask the bookstore’s sales associates for the form and competition details, or email us here

You can also GO HERE to print out the form and the template for creating your bookmark!

Have fun and we can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

Reminder: this week is Children’s Book Week and the Depot Bookstore is celebrating this with 10% off all Children’s Books. Throughout May and June, the bookstore is celebrating a new local artist, Tom Soltesz. His book is being sold in the bookstore during his show.
