We’re excited to introduce a brand-new, hassle-free parking experience in the City Hall parking lot with our new kiosk system! Here’s what you need to know:
- The kiosk will be live starting Wednesday, March 5th.
- Simply remember your parking spot number – no need to worry about your license plate number. For the duration of this pilot program, the parking spot number will be on a sticker on the current meter.
- You don’t need to display a receipt or ticket back in your car – just pay at the kiosk and go about your day.
- RSVP Stickers (available at the Mill Valley Police Department or online) will still allow you to park for the allotted time limit for free!
Why did we upgrade to a kiosk over individual meters?
- Reduced maintenance: Fewer individual meters mean less maintenance, leading to fewer service interruptions and a more reliable system.
- More environmentally and economically friendly: The kiosk eliminates the need for multiple meters, helping reduce material waste and energy use.
- Esthetically pleasing: Kiosks remove the visual clutter of multiple parking meters up and down a street or in a lot.
Plus, paying is easier than ever! You can now pay with:
- Credit Card
- Tap to pay
- Coins
Next time you’re downtown, take advantage of the new system. It’s designed to make your parking experience smoother and more convenient!
