From Miller Avenue to downtown, the City of Mill Valley is laden with great shops for holiday gifts.
But if you need more reasons to shop local, we’ve got a pair of good ones:
- In an effort to send “a gesture of goodwill between merchants, residents and the city during the holiday shopping time,” the Council Council has approved the Mill Valley tradition that allows anyone to park for free up to the maximum time allowed, two hours in most cases, on the meter during the holiday shopping season – from Friday, Nov. 24 to Sunday, Dec. 31. Thursday, Nov. 23 and Monday, January 1, 2018, are the Thanksgiving Day and New Year’s Day holidays, and parking is free for the maximum allowed time on those days as well. Check meters and parking lot signs to determine maximum allowed time.
- The ShopMV campaign, in which dozens of local shops, restaurants and businesses offer discounts to holiday shoppers, spans the same period as the free parking – Nov. 24 to Dec. 31. Find discounts at Mill Valley’s world class apparel and jewelry boutiques, gift shops and amazing restaurants.
