In March, the City of Mill Valley and PG&E cut down nearly all of a huge blue gum eucalyptus tree that has long been a fixture at Hauke Park. The tree had become diseased and was deemed a danger, particularly because of its proximity to the playground.

With the massive tree stump remaining in the prominent location at Hauke, City officials say the stump “is begging to become something fun! We want to hear and see what you and your children want it to become.”

Send the City ideas to parks@cityofmillvalley.org or bring it by the Community Center.
