Music Heals International Tees Up 10th Annual Benefit at Sweetwater Music Hall on Nov. 20
The 2023 edition of the event serves as the 10th anniversary concert, a “one-time only night of musical collaborations honoring the late, great Rob Wasserman ā a gathering of legends, including acclaimed jazz bassist Christian McBride,Ā ALOĀ guitaristĀ Lebo (Dan Lebowitz),Ā Arcade FireĀ guitaristĀ Paul Beaubrun,Ā Dead & CompanyĀ drummerĀ Jay LaneĀ and turntablistĀ DJ Logic.

The founders of the popular Marine Layer clothing brand initially saw the building as a possible retail concept, but pivoted after learning of the significant aforementioned obstacles they saw as untenable. Instead, they chose a concept that has garnered excitement in cities and towns across the U.S. that look to create gathering spaces for communities wanting reconnection after the years of pandemic disruption. A ārecurring revenueā model is important for a very large space with little curb appeal.

“We made the first three matches of the pilot between June 30th and September 15th,Ā and weāve now allocated all of the dollars for the first round of funding ($50,000 over 2 years),” Barnesmoore says. “Per our eligibility requirements, all three participants make 60% of AMI or less and work in the City of Mill Valley.
