Cabana Home, the home furnishings store that opened at 238 East Blithedale Ave. in late 2006, has moved to San Francisco’s Marina district. Owners Leisa and Michael Snyder said the reason for the move was to be closer to home – they recently moved from Marin to SF.

“We’ve loved being here in Mill Valley but are excited about our new store at Fillmore and Union streets,” Snyder says.

Summerhouse, one of Mill Valley’s most popular housewares and furniture brands, is moving its longtime warehouse location across the parking lot and into the former Cabana Home space.

For the past 23 years, Summerhouse owner Robert Adams has kept a 6,000-square-foot warehouse in the building at 250 East Blithedale that formerly contained Mill Valley Services before it closed in September 2014, opening it on the weekends for customers to check out a larger inventory than is available at his stores at 21 and 57 Throckmorton Avenue.

Adams said he’s looking forward to moving the warehouse in July and expanding its retail hours from weekends-only to five days a week.

The 411: Summerhouse is located 21 and 57 Throckmorton Avenue, and will open a retail warehouse at 250 East Blithedale, behind Tony Tutto Pizza.
