Dogs? Check. Cats? Definitely. Geckos? Sure. Kimodo dragon? Yeah, maybe hold off on that.

On Sunday, Oct. 6 at 11:30am, Mt. Tamalpais United Methodist Church hosts its annual Blessing of the Animals, an event in the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi, the great 13th century prophet who is the saint of animals and the environment.

“All of God’s creatures have earned our blessing and praise!” says Mt. Tam Church Pastor Kim Smith. “We’re hosting a community-wide blessing of the animals following our regular worship service. Bring your pets of all kinds (properly restrained or contained, of course) for a loving blessing.”

The church’s regular worship services are held at 10:30am and all are welcome to join. Sunday School and Nursery care available. Call 415-388-4456 or email mtumc@pacbell.net for more info.
