Westminster Events invites the community to an inspiring and thought-provoking conversation about aging—one that challenges outdated perceptions and explores how to approach life’s later chapters with grace, purpose, and resilience.
The event features Sonya Dolan, co-founder of Mettle Health—an online platform she created with Mill Valley’s BJ Miller to provide personalized, holistic support for patients and caregivers facing the emotional, practical, and existential challenges of serious illness, death, and grief.
Also speaking is Joe O’Hehir, Interim CEO of Vivalon, who brings more than four decades of leadership in healthcare and nonprofit organizations. A longtime advocate for innovative aging services, O’Hehir helped launch Marin’s Aging Action Initiative and led the creation of Vivalon’s new Healthy Aging Campus.
Moderating the conversation is Teri Dowling, a longtime Ross resident and public health leader who spent much of her career with the San Francisco Department of Public Health and served on the Marin County Commission on Aging, where she helped launch the Age Friendly Ross Taskforce.
Together, these voices will debunk common myths about aging and offer fresh, empowering perspectives on what it means to grow older—especially here in Marin. Whether you’re a senior, a caregiver, the adult child of aging parents, or simply curious about how to age more wisely, you’ll leave this event feeling both informed and inspired.
After the conversation, stick around for a post-event reception with the speakers and an information fair highlighting local aging resources.
This free, community-wide event takes place at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 240 Tiburon Blvd., from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
