The Mill Valley Arts Commissioner has long been a vital artistic staple in the 94941, and now they’re expanding on the array of venues for attendees to peruse.
Starting with the First Tuesday Artwalk on May 7th, 5:30-7:30, a trio of venues are now part of Artwalk:
DEI Gallery space in the Mill Valley Aquatics & Fitness Center – at top right in the images.
Anthony Meier Gallery @ 53 Throckmorton Ave. – at left in the images.
Pyrdek Hasz Building @ 176 E. Blithedale Ave., a currently vacant space that building owner Allyson Pyrdek is converting into an art gallery – image at bottom right..
As previously reported, longtime Tam High art teacher Zachary Gilmour, who is largely responsible for supporting the array of creative artwork from his students that ends up being showcased each year, is showcasing his 13 of his students’ drawing and painting work on the walls of the Mill Valley Chamber’s space at 85 Throckmorton Ave., including a reception on Tuesday, May 7, as part of the Mill Valley Arts Commission’s First Tuesday Artwalk (5:30-7:30pm).
The title of the exhibition is “The Tam Staff Portrait Project by Tam High Students of Intermediate Drawing and Painting, Acrylic paintings on stretched canvas.”
