Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra is hoping to raise funds to help support this trip for everyone (there are students that are part of this group that are from lower socioeconomic background and are supported by the Marin Symphony leadership.  The orchestra is seeking donations for raffles, donating for advertisement on the brochures for the three concerts that the kids have per year, and donations.

Some folks have already started. All are encouraged to make as many flowers that they can. We have people to paint if you just want to cut them out.

Starting with the First Tuesday Artwalk on May 7th, 5:30-7:30, a trio of venues are now part of Artwalk: DEI Gallery space in the Mill Valley Aquatics & Fitness Center, Anthony Meier Gallery @ 53 Throckmorton Ave. and the Pyrdek Hasz Building @ 176 E. Blithedale Ave.

An adaptation of Fierstein’s 1982 play Torch Song Trilogy, this newly revised two-act Torch Song, focuses on Arnold Beckoff, a lovelorn Jewish drag queen armed with the pithy wit of a Fran Leibovitz, who is looking for love in New York City. By turns hilarious and touching, this rollicking work finds Arnold stumbling through modern life, wallowing in cynical despair at ever finding a husband, a child, and a pair of bunny slippers that fit.
