With nearly 140 artists scattered and thousands of patrons scattered throughout the massive, gorgeous redwood grove at old Mill Park, the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival, set for Sept. 18-19, is a massive undertaking.
To make it all happen, organizers need an outpouring of volunteers. To date, they’ve gotten more than 100 volunteers to raise their hands, but they need at least 80 more.
“I am asking you now to think of one or two friends or family members you feel might enjoy a day in the redwoods (as you do) and ask them to signup,” says MVFAF Volunteer Coordinator Phil Garratt. “That would help me enormously. Thanks in advance!”
MVFAF is also staffing the beer/wine booths for the festival this year, “so here’s your chance to be the bar-person you always wanted to be!!” Garratt says. “Sign up at the Beer Booth tab!”
All volunteers get free admission, free t-shirt and snacks and the opportunity to spend their non-shift hours enjoying the art, music, food/drinks and redwoods.
To sign-up, follow the link to our VolunteerLocal page and choose your preferred shift and sign up. “Given that the 2020 Festival was canceled, I am looking forward especially to seeing old and new faces in September in the Park,” Garratt says.
Looking forward to the fair. Always wonderful artists participate.
