The folks at the Throckmorton Theatre are ramping up their annual summer musical production for its Youth Theatre program. To do so, they’re hosting open auditions for Matilda, Roald Dahl’s tale of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. Packed with high-energy dance numbers, catchy songs and a beautiful message, Matilda is a joyous girl power romp.
Throckmorton’s auditions for youth ages 8-20 are set for Aug. 20-21, 4-7pm. Rehearsal dates for those chosen are Sept. 5-Oct. 25, Tuesday through Thursday, 4-7pm.
