There are a ton of incredible arts orgs in this community, but we can’t say it enough about the landmark Throckmorton Theatre, a rarity that does it all: top-notch theatrical productions, live music, classical concerts, Djangofest, some of the best comedy in the Bay Area and much more.
Now the organization is diving into a classic: Chicago: Teen Edition, which kicks off on March 3rd and runs through 23rd.
The shows occur Fridays & Saturdays @7PM; Sundays @2PM; Plus Thursday (March 20th) @7PM.
This vibrant musical is fabulously brought to life by our superbly talented teen performers.
Set in Chicago during the “jazz” age, the original musical was based on a 1926 play with the same name, written by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins, about actual criminals and crimes on which she reported.
The musical was brought to life with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book written by Bob Fosse and Fred Ebb.
