The Milley Awards Executive Committee and the City of Mill Valley proudly announce the five honorees for the 2025 Creative Achievement Award—The Milley. They are Jerry Harrison, Irene Belknap, Joyce Kleiner, Jeff Brown, and Jim Welte.Ā These Mill Valley residents with distinguished accomplishments in the arts and service to the community will be honored at the 34thĀ MilleyĀ Awards dinner onĀ Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Mill Valley Community Center. TheĀ 2025Ā MilleyĀ AwardsĀ AreĀ FastĀ Approaching!Ā The celebrated composer and lyricist Rita Abrams will emcee this year’s Milley Awards for Creative Achievement, October 26th at the Mill Valley Community Center. A gala dinner and program will begin with appetizers by Paseo Bistro chef AngĆ©lica Duarte and complimentary wine from Bay Area vintners, followed by a lavish buffet dinner by Ghiringhelli Catering. The award presentations will culminate with a performance by celebrated musician Jerry Harrison, this year’s Milley honoree for musical arts. Seven accomplished Mill Valley residents will be honored at an elegant program and buffet supper from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, October 27 at the Mill Valley Community Center. The six will receive bronze statuettes designed by the late sculptor John Libberton. Mill Valley is the only city in Marin County that officially recognizes the talents and achievements of people in the arts.

So when shuttered theaters reopened, audiences — specifically American audiences — did not rush back in droves.

The Bay Area isn’t a feature film superpower, but it pulls its weightĀ in awards season, according to SFGate. The region also scored a well-deserved nomination for ā€œInside Out 2. The Bob Dylan biopic scored eight Oscar nominations, including a best picture nod and an actor nomination for TimothĆ©e Chalamet’s portrayal of the icon. Barbaro plays the legendary folk musician Joan Baez, who becomes romantically entangled with Dylan as they tour together.
