Amy Torgeson is an artist working in printmaking and collage, and she’s been chosen asĀ the Mill Valley Chamber’s selection as Artist of the month for March! Her work explores the collaborative relationship between both methods; printmaking provides material for collage, and the layering and multi-dimensional qualities of collage make their way back into her printmaking.Ā In addition to her artistic practice, she has spent over a decade teaching writing and art through arts organizations and after-school programs. Knowing the magic of their space, and the loss the community would feel upon their closing, they sought someone who could carry their vision forward. Committed to keeping the space a place for contemporary arts and the Mill Valley community, Seager and Gray approached Chandler Simpson, a former director of Maya Frodeman Gallery, previously Tayloe Piggott Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming, living in the Bay Area.
