At a free, virtual Outdoor Art Club event on Thursday, May 5 at 1pm, representatives of the world’s largest peace building organization, Search for Common Ground (“Search”), will talk about their mission and work.
Search’s VP of Human Resources Jacqueline Oburu will interview Judy Kimamo, Search’s Country Director for Kenya. Kimamo will describe the creative tactics her team has used to encourage peace and economic prosperity in that country, including an innovative project to secure digital identity cards for local fishermen that enabled the government to prevent extremists from crossing into Kenya without disrupting nighttime fishing, a pillar of the local economy.
