Safeway in Strawberry Village this Wednesday celebrated a grand reopening for its newly remodeled store, marking the occasion with a $3,000 donation to the Marin County Commission on Aging.
The upgraded store expands upon its “World of Cheese” section, adds a new floral department and is home to a modernized Starbucks kiosk.
Shoppers can also find premium deli products, fresh meals, ready-to-serve food, fresh-cut produce and other tasty morsels from the bakery, meat and seafood departments.
The store still offers “Drive Up and Go” service, letting shoppers place orders online and schedule a time to pick them up curbside. The store is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight, but pharmacy hours vary.
The donation came from a $1,500 donation from Lifehouse Agency and another $1,500 from Safeway to the Marin County Commission on Aging.
