If the COVID-19 crisis has yielded the tiniest of silver linings, it’s that many businesses deemed non-essential have wisely used the time to broaden their sales platforms and build out their e-commerce stores, setting themselves up for success now and when we return to some degree of normalcy.

You can count Poet and/the Bench, the five-year-old lifestyle store and jewelry atelier from Jeffrey Levin and Bonnie Powers, among them. The couple, who opened their shop on Locust Ave. in late 2015 and relocated to downtown Mill Valley in 2019, launched their e-commerce store this month.

“We are thrilled to announce that you can now shop Poet and/the Bench online across art, home goods, jewelry and apothecary items,” they wrote on Instagram. “We’re launching products daily…so come back often.”

Poet and/the Bench offers free shipping and local deliveries through the Shelter in Place timeframe. They also offer personal curation consultations voice-to-voice or via email. Inquire here.

“We plan on weathering this and we’re most grateful for our health and the health and safety of our community.,” they wrote. “In the meantime, virtual hugs to you and all of you moms out there. And see you sooner than later, online or in person.”
