Just three weeks after Piazza D’Angelo opened for takeout/delivery amidst the shelter in place, co-owner Luigi Petrone and Felicia Ferguson have adopted the entrepreneurial spirit that has inspired so many businesses in Mill Valley by launching Piazza Alimentari, an Italian mom-and-pop corner store.

The shop’s inventory, which you can find here, includes fresh, simple meals, along with fresh pastas, fresh pizza dough, sauces and take-and-bake lasagna, as well as prepared foods, pantry items, wine, and beer for pickup.

“We have finally acted on something we’ve always wanted to do: bring our delicious fresh pasta to your home!” Ferguson and Petrone said in an email the customers. “This is our first step towards creating our little Italian market right here in Mill Valley We even have our infamous pesto dipping sauce available by the pint! Spend $100 or more and get a bottle of Planeta rose on us!”

To celebrate the launch, Piazza D’Angelo founders Domenico and Paulo Petrone each made a signature Italian dish and shared the step-by-step recipe.
