Holiday events are popping up all over Mill Valley, with the latest pair coming from the folks at Mill Valley Lumber Yard. On Dec. 5 and 19 (4-7pm), the gathering hub at 129 Miller Avenue serves up multi-faceted events featuring each of the shops at MVLY participating.

That includes Stacy King’s Lulu Design Jewelry hosting a Holiday Wish List event with apps & drinks where people can come in and create their wish list Once Around hosting a “Letters to Santa” craft, providing children with stationary, a typewriter and mail box to mail their letters to the North Pole; and Flour Craft Bakery‘s “Holiday Cookie Decorating” in the Flex Sheds, 3-6pm (12/5 only, $10/per person for a large cookie/ornament and all supplies for people to decorate to their liking.

All of the other shops and restaurants at MVLY are also participating in their own way, from giveaways to in-store bites & nibbles, including Watershed Restaurant from Ged Robertson and Kyle Swain, innovative bike shop Mad Dogs & Englishman, Molly de Vries’ Ambatalia and Gayle Nicoletti’s Bloomingayles, Serena Armstrong’s FarmHouseUrban, Suzy Ekman’s Makers Market, Amy Lowery’s The Edit, Chelsea Hutchison’s BOL Superfood Cafeand Paige Mycoskie’s Aviator Nation. We would love your help in getting the word out!

The event will also have live bluegrass from a youth band called Birches Bend (see video below) performing from 5-7pm during each event. 
“Making a list, Checking it twice…it’s time to let Santa know you’ve been nice! We provide the stationery, typewriter (if you’re so inclined) and exclusive access to one of Santa’s mailboxes. Now, what’s the address?”

There will also be a Toys for Tots and One Warm Coat donation stations with the latter running through Dec. 19.
