Makers Market‘s regular series of monthly Open Air Artisan Faires at the Mill Valley Lumber Yard continues Aug. 14 from 11am-5pm.
“These Open Air Artisan Faires bring the best of the Bay Area’s skilled craftspeople into one space for residents to enjoy,” Makers Market founder Suzy Ekman says. “This outdoor fair features sustainably crafted jewelry, home décor, apothecary goods, CBD products, glass, artwork, candles, local honey, ceramics, leather goods, clothing and more sold by the artists. Each month, you can meet these makers, shop their artisan-crafted work, and enjoy live, local music.”
On August 14, Makers Market is inviting more than 10 of the best local makers in the Bay Area. “We are thrilled to have all four of our Bay Area stores survive 2020 and to have relaunched all four of our Outdoor monthly markets,” Ekman adds. “We are excited and blessed to resume our mission of supporting thousands of local designers, makers, and artists!”
There will be live music and the opportunity to stroll around the gorgeous MVLY with great food + drinks from Watershed Mill Valley and Flour Craft Bakery Mill Valley. “Wander in to our Brick and Mortar shop (adjacent to the market area) for handcrafted goods made from 100+ more local Makers!” Ekman says.
Makers Market continues the history of the DIY spirit in Mill Valley, from its decades-old craft fairs and arts festivals to creative hubs like Once Around. It also builds on the Lumber Yard’s ever-growing reputation as a community gathering space.
The Open Air Artisan Faires run monthly on the second Saturday through December, including September 11, October 9, November 13, and December 11.
