Forty-seven years ago, Cece Bechelli opened Happy Feet Dance School in the building that now contains Marin Theatre Company on Miller Avenue. She moved it four years later to her current space, a former auto repair garage on Montford Avenue right off Miller.

The longtime stalwart arts organization in Mill Valley for decades, is producing three shows this year at Novato High School’s Center for the Arts, a beautiful indoor venue.

Happy Feet is proud to celebrate 47 years of dance in our community! This year they are back at Novato High School’s Center for the Arts Theatre with three shows.

The title of their performances is “Dancing Through Life.”

All three shows will feature Happy Feet’s advanced student ensemble performing a suite of dances from Wicked, with original choreography by their teaching staff.

Show 1 & 2 feature their younger dancers, preschool through middle school, along with their advanced high school students. Show 3 will feature their middle school and advanced high school dancers, along with their adult dancers.

Date: Sunday, May 4th
Show 1: 12:00 pm
Show 2: 3:00 pm
Show 3: 6:00 pm
Tickets are still available to the public for all three performances and can be purchased here.
“Happy Feet is a family affair. Cece’s three children danced and taught at the studio and now one of Cece’s daughter’s, Caitlin, co-directs the school with her. The next generation is already at it! All 5 of Cece’s grandchildren are now dancing at Happy Feet.”
