Marin Magazine aims to be the most effective communication vehicle targeting the active and affluent Marin County consumer, celebrating the people, places, and innovations that make the county unique. The magazine features stories about Marin’s history, arts, people, and attractions, as well as profiles of Marin personalities and journeys to destinations near and far. Marin Magazine aims to reach the region’s most affluent readers with sharp, insightful writing and stunning photography and artwork. “We’ll be honoring two decades of inspiring stories, local culture, and community impact,” organizers say.

“The reason Goodman’s has lasted 70 years in this age of bigger and bigger big-box stores is our biggest commitment is in our dedication to customer service to the almost half-million people in the community that through our doors each year,” Govrin said. Govrin said that in addition to the store continued deep ties to organizations like Kiddo! and the Tam High Foundation, Goodman’s has made great strides in recent years to go green, getting honored in 2008 by the Marin County Board of Supervisors as a certified Green Business, then the county’s first hardware store to do so. The store now boasts nearly 7,500 green products.

Arts & Recreation are steeped into the fabric of Mill Valley, and this week, the City Council unanimously made a welcoming stride toward giving more Southern Marin residents, specifically our long-neglected, immediate neighbors just over the smallest of hills in Marin City. The council agreed to support, in partnership, a fee waiver policy that includes specifically includes a pair of voter precincts in Marin City – 31228 and 31229. The approved Fee Waiver Policy would include staffing fees, deposits, permits fees, facility rental fees and more. Mill Valley Arts & Recreation staff would be able to approve a fee waiver or reduction of up to $2,000, with requests for fee waivers over $2,000 will be sent to the Parks & Recreation Commission for consideration
