By creating a lasting space that boldly displays “Mill Valley Stands United Against Hate,” we reinforce our commitment to our values and share a message that our residents and visitors will see every day, and one that we will uphold with accountability and pride.

As they have for the past many years, the City of Mill Valley joined other cities across the nation in September for United Against Hate Week. This year’s campaign featured a film created in collaboration with local community members, an art initiative involving our school district and Kiddo, and a reception held at the community center on September 25. Read the event recap here.

The reception featured two short films, Mill Valley Stands United Against Hate and Crisis of Hate, and a dynamic panel discussion focused on how we as individuals and a community, can actively confront hate and foster unity. The evening spotlighted real examples of standing against hate and offer actionable ways to create a more inclusive Mill Valley.

Now City officials are following up with a “Call for Artists to Share Talents.”
